    Biographical Notes

     

    Dr. Bill Betts is a psychoanalyst, a member of the Australian Psychoanalytical Society, and Chairman of the Melbourne Branch of that Society. He is in private practice in Melbourne.

    Dr Jon Jureidini is head of the Department of Psychological Medicine at Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Adelaide. He is also a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Philosophy, Flinders University of South Australia and Clinical Senior Lecturer at the Department of Psychiatry, University of Adelaide

    Dr Alan Large is a consultant psychiatrist in private practice in Melbourne. He was, in the past, President of the Victorian Association of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapists and a member of the Freudian School of Melbourne. Until this year he was book review editor of this journal.

    Brendan Mcphillips is a psychotherapist working in private practice in North Sydney. His original degree was in medicine which led to a career in general practice. Confronting the profound suffering of patients who presented with deep-seated emotional problems eventuated in his shifting direction to becoming a therapist. He trained with The Australian and New Zealand Association of Psychotherapy (ANZAP) completing the Diploma of Adult Psychotherapy in 1997.

    Don Meadows
    is a psychoanalytic psychotherapist practising in Melbourne. He trained originally as an Anglican priest and later with the Victorian Association of Psychotherapists of which he is a member. He is currently the editor of this journal.
